Weekend Roundup: April 12-14
The weekend is here!
Friday (4/12) // My Ceviche:
This is our absolute favorite spot for fresh, flavorful fish tacos and ceviche takeout. Swing by to pick some up, then saunter over to nearby South Pointe Park or one of the tables on the waterfront path to sit in the sun and dive into your delicious seafood while watching cruise ships navigate the coast. (Get directions.)
Saturday (4/13) // David Rohn’s Reigning Men:
Miami-based artist David Rohn grapples with identity politics through extensive self-portraiture in his work. The 12 pieces in his current show are taken from performances where he played a variety of male archetypes—the soldier, the country guy, the money manager—to explore masculinity in relation to both power and vulnerability. It’s good stuff. (Get directions.)
Sunday (4/14) // Early Morning Jog:
If tonight’s two too many drinks will result in a late night food frenzy, followed by feelings of remorse, plan to set your alarm to daybreak on Sunday and hightail over to South Pointe Park for a 6am, 6-10-mile loop around town with the Form First Chi Running Club. Once complete, we say back to bed. (Get directions; double-check on Facebook.)
