14 Jan - Ball & Chain
Little Havana’s storied 1930s hangout has been reborn.
Back in the day, Calle Ocho’s Ball & Chain was a well-known neighborhood watering hole where iconic musicians like Billie Holiday and Count Basie would post up for all-night jazz jams. Today, the legendary bar/club stays true to its old, colorful charm, while bringing fresh eats/drinks and live music to the table.
Order up their traditional Cuban Mariquitas de Maduros (aka slivers of golden plantains), the fish tacos and – for good measure – Cuban spring rolls. Or, really anything from their eight-dollar-everything tapas menu.
Drink the Pastelito Daiquiri.
Best part: Freehand Miami guests get half-off cocktails, every day from 4-7pm!
