It’s official–we’ve packed up our parkas and stored our fur in exchange for flower crowns and fringe. The Windy City is taking a hiatus from the cold and hooking you and your crew up with a summer solstice just in time for festival season! Heading to the Midwest? We’ve got a little bit of everything for everyone. Ditch the tourist traps and hang like a local at a few of the most anticipated events of the season.

JUNE

Ribfest Chicago
June 12-14

All hail the BBQ rib! Get your eat on with meaty madness from a variety of local pitmasters. Pssttt. Don’t forget to bring your wet wipes. (Free)

Chicago Blues Festival
June 12-14

Toe-tapping goodness awaits you at the largest blues festival in the world. Come jam out with thousands of blues fans at Grant Park. (Free)

Spring Awakening Music Festival
June 12-13

Party hard with locals for a  3-day concert series featuring some of the hottest names in music. ($90+)

Six Corners BBQ Fest
June 19-21

Who doesn’t love the ‘que? Give dad a break from the grill and head to Milwaukee Avenue for a BBQ haven of family fun, games and live music. ($5 suggested donation)

Chicago Pride Fest
June 20-21

Northalsted (A.K.A. Boystown) is rolling out the red carpet for Chicago Pride with live performances from Estelle, Big Freedia and more. Keep your eyes peeled for more Pride events around the city. (Free)

Green Music Fest
June 20-21

Help keep Chicago GREEN with live music + a variety of local vendors in the heart of Wicker Park. ($5 suggested donation)

Logan Square Arts Festival
June 26-28

Celebrate art in Logan Square with tasty treats and live music. (Free)

Dog Dayz of Summer
June 27-28

Hot Doug’s makes a comeback for two days of sausage, fries, beer and good music. ($75)

Taste of Chicago 
July 8-12

Ruido Fest
July 10-12

Pilsen turns into a fiesta with 2 days of music from influential artists of Latin decent who hold strong ties to the Chicago music industry and local communities. ($54+)

Mamby on the Beach

We’re hanging on the shore for seaside jams at Oakwood Beach in Chicago. ($67+)

Westfest Chicago
July 11-12

Live music + vendors adorn West Town for a weekend of sick sounds from Chi-town local artists. (Free)

Pitchfork Music Festival
July 17-19

Internationally known for it’s diverse lineup, Pitchfork is heading back to Union Park for a wicked series of concerts featuring emerging artists who are currently killin’ the game. ($65)

Taste of River North
July 17-19

Stay local in our hood and experience live music + cheap/delicious eats from restaurants in the area. (Prices Vary)

Sausage Fest
July 18-19

All the sausage you can eat. Sounds too good to be true? We don’t make these things up. Taste a variety of gourmet sausages from Chicago’s most beloved butchers. ($33)

Wicker Park Fest
July 25-26

Art, music , food and cool local vendors join in Wicker Park for a cool summer block party. (Free)

Lollapalooza
July 31-August 2

The biggest cultural blowout of the year heads back to Grant Park for over 115 acres of food, music, a farmer’s market and so much more. (Prices Vary)
