The Freehand radiates good vibes and creative expression. No doubt you’ll find artists from around the world collaborating and sharing their work in our spaces. From craft workshops, trend walks, dance lessons, to mural paintings, we live and breathe artistic variety.
Nicole Salgar is an artist whose work can be found all over Freehand Miami’s property. She’s a painter and street artist whose major influences come from Latin folk art and the world around her. One of the first pieces Salgar added to Freehand Miami was that incredibly dope iguana piece hanging outside our pool. Recently, she’s left another unique mark on our walls outside The Broken Shaker that we’re super stoked about. It’s the first mural she’s painted entirely with spray, and the majestic woman in this piece holds multidimensional meaning.
The Third Eye represents a collective consciousness and awareness of our connection with nature. The pink peony flowers surrounding her symbolize honor and good fortune. Nicole believes in the “transformative force [of art] which can elevate the practitioners, people and community.” We hope Freehand Miami inspires everyone who comes to chill with us—and for those budding artists out there, like Nicole says, stay focused and keep creating!
