Walking Tour + Grilled Cheese Meltdown
SUNDAY, 1/15, 10:30am: Kick off your Sunday Funday exploring the City! Meet us in the lobby for a free, escorted walking tour throughout some of our most lovely neighborhoods & fascinating landmarks. We’ll start in River North, venture through the loop and then back to Freehand. (Free)
SUNDAY, 1/15, 11:30am, 2pm or 4:30pm: Wintertime calls for comfort food. Taste some of Chicago’s “cheesiest, meltiest sandwiches” at Time Out Chicago’s Grilled Cheese Meltdown! After getting your fill of (arguably the best) comfort food, vote to crown the Grilled Cheese Champions. ($27.50)
The MLK Project at Chicago History Museum
MONDAY, 1/16, 10am: Honor the life & legacy of Martin Luther King Jr at The MLK Project in the Chicago History Museum. Enjoy the one-woman show entitled “The Fight for Civil Rights,” a musical performance by the Chicago Chamber Choir along with storytelling commemorating the incredible human being that was Martin Luther King Jr. ($16)
