Donut Fest 2017 

SUNDAY, 1/29, 12pm: Don’t let the cold weather make you bitter — sweeten up your Sunday Funday at Chop Shop’s Donut Fest! Some of the best bakeries in Chicago will present their tastiest cruller, ring or long-john in hopes of claiming the “Best Donut” title. Don’t worry, you’ll get to sample the goods too! ($35 – $50)

Maki Monday at Sunda + Salsa Monday at Patron’s Hacienda

MONDAY, 1/30, 6:30Roll into your Monday with Sunda’s award-winning sushi chefs and learn to perfect this delicious Asian delicacy! Pick up some sushi-rolling skills and taste a variety of sake along the way. What’s even better? Chicago Voices: HipHop How the City Inspires the Sound

It’s no doubt our city has embraced a totally unique mix of hip-hop styles, most of which have been 100% inspired by the everyday realities of the city. Head over to the Chicago History Museum for live performances by Amina Norman-Hawkins & Andrew Barber and discover how Chi-town has impacted the hip-hop scene. ($10 admission)

Drink & Draw + Garden of Souls

WEDNESDAY, 2/1, 6:30pmHead over to West Town this Wednesday and get artistic at Spudnik Press Cooperative’s Drink & Draw! Grab a sketchbook, some drinks, drawing materials and your friends and create something awesome with the illustrator and cartoonist Robert Kelsey! ($10 suggested donation)

WEDNESDAY, 2/1, 9pm: After getting those creative juices flowing, take a few steps around the building to the Fulton Street Collective for a jazzy end to the evening with the Garden of Souls. These musical masterminds will be performing two records from Ornette Coleman in their entirety. The exquisite visual artist, Farren Victoria, will also be painting live! ($10 suggested donation)

Happy Hour + The Rosenkranz Mysteries 

THURSDAY, 2/2, 4pmEvery hour should be happy when you’re in Chicago, but nothing beats 4-6pm at the Broken Shaker! Enjoy $7 daily cocktails, punch & dealer’s choices, and/or $5 wine & draft beer until 8pm. (21+, Free entry)
