While this might give us, and our humidity hating selves, cause for lament, Miami’s show still goes on. Seriously, the end of May (and spring) is kicking off hard, y’all. Wednesday, May 16th

Parkland StrongIn an effort to help raise funds for those impacted by the events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas and to honor the victims and heroes, New Found Glory will be playing a benefit show at Pompano Beach Amphitheater on May 16th. Joining them will be Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional) and Ryan Key (formerly of Yellowcard). All proceeds from the show will be donated to the official Broward Education Foundation Stoneman Douglas Fund.

Opening Reception: Karen Rifas at BassFor more than thirty years, Miami-based artist Karen Rifas has amassed a body of work that endeavors to understand and re-imagine space. Employing densely hued shapes and irregular lines, Rifas creates spaces that oscillate between the two- and three-dimensional. Deceptive Constructions surveys this recent body of work for the the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in over 10 years.

ProjectArt’s Miami Resident ExhibitionArtists, parents, students, and friends of ProjectArt are invited to celebrate another successful year of programming at our Miami Resident Exhibition! Emerging multi-disciplinary artists come together to showcase the artwork they created during their tenure as ProjectArt Resident Artists where they teach, mentor youth, and create new work in 8 Miami Public Libraries.

Adult Swim on the Green: MiamiAdult Swim is back on the road bringing you a special night of delight. They’re coming to your town to give you an exciting experience full of new games, lasting friendships and exclusive prizes. Prepare for a fantastical night full of surprises! Adult Swim On The Green will be followed by a free promotional screening of “Things You May Have Never Seen” where they’ll take a look at what’s on the horizon. They’re showing unaired Adult Swim episodes, never before seen pilots, specials and a load of other Williams Street favorites.

Moonlit BrunchLet the charming landscape and twinkling lanterns lead you into a Napa-inspired wonderland where live music–and a whole lot of eggs— are center stage. Lounge on the carpets, take in the stars, taste brunch classics and let your senses go for a ride. Thanks to the Design District, we’re bringing the Brooklyn-based rock ’n’ roll queen Liza Colby to set the stage ablaze for the night, with an opening jam by the always funky, Macy Todd.
