10 Nov - Seasonal Shaker Specialities
Holiday season means family, friends and lots of well, drinks! The cocktail gurus at the award winning Broken Shaker at Freehand Chicago have crafted an incredible new menu inspired by both Chicago and the season!
Get a taste of what’s new on the menu and make a toast to the season:
Ambassador to Funkytown
Although this drink is reminiscent of summer on the outside, on the inside it’s all fall! We pair Plantation Stiggins Fancy with Batavia Arrak to create a rum foundation. Combine these with Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao shaken with red bean, almond and fresh pineapple and you’ve got yourself a swanky Ambassador to Funkytown.
Breakfast in Bed
Everyone deserves Breakfast in Bed, especially when you’re #FreehandLiving in Chicago. This goodie has a spicy Old Forester bourbon base, matched with Cafe Integral’s flavor-packed cold brew. Throw in some ch Fernet Dogma and top it all off with a donut cordial and indulge in the ultimate breakfast in bed.
Venus in Furs
That glug vessel though… Yeah, it rocks. But let’s talk about what’s inside. Venus in Furs is a super delicious frappe cocktail, full of Beefeater and Plymouth Gin combined with St. Germain. We take these classics to the next level with fresh fennel, banana, lemon and cardamom. Cheers to boozy beauties!
Squash the Beet Margarita
Bet you never thought there could be a margarita for Autumn! Squash the Beet is a combination of Olemeca Altos Reposado tequila and Ancho Reyes chili liqueur. Mexican spiced pumpkin together with yellow beet, fresh lime and spicy pepita salt marry all these seasonal ingredients together perfectly. Spice up the season!
Made That B*tch Famous
This full-bodied cocktail contains Hennessy cognac infused with orchard fruit. The bold, crisp flavors are highlighted with parsley apple shrub and float of Vandermill hard cider. This cocktail will have you feeling young & alive — a lot like Mr. Kanye West.
